The dead of winter, nor during the heat of summer, is a very good time for a soil health analysis, Friedericks added.Ī soil health analysis is a way to understand how a producer’s management is going. “Then, after harvest, we can see what has been taken out of the soil.” You’ve got nutrients that will become available in the spring and those are measurable,” he said.
