In November 2021, Don moved to West Allis where he lived with his daughter and son-in-law until his passing from a heart attack in the early hours of New Year’s Day, 2022.

They both moved to New Berlin, WI in August of 2018 – Iline to the Heritage memory care unit and Don to an apartment where he lived independently, attended bible study and enjoyed group lunches with neighbors. They remained in the home they built for most of their marriage, with Don caring for Iline for many years due to her Alzheimer’s disease. Don and Iline were poll workers for elections for many years for the City of Oak Creek. 6, 1986 until retirement on Januhe worked as a finisher for the Krones packaging and bottling line systems company in Franklin, WI. When the Louis Allis company was sold, Don worked briefly as a home health aide, assisting a retired senior official of the Ladish Corp. Iline’s father, George Sr., lived with Don and lline prior to his death. Iline’s brother Ronald, who lived next door, was close to them. Oakwood Road in Oak Creek on the same lot where Iline was born. They married November 7, 1964, lived briefly in South Milwaukee, and built their home at 2121 E. in Milwaukee, where he met his wife in the payroll department. From 1952 to 1982 he worked as an expediter in the electric motors division for the Louis Allis Co. Don also served in the Army National Guard from May 1959 to December 1960. He lived with his parents on Capitol Drive when his mother died in Sept. His first job was at a restaurant and then in dispatch for the Milwaukee Journal, where his father also worked. His family moved to Milwaukee in January 1942 to a home on 38th and Greenfield. Olson, who died in January 1994, and Roger, who died of pneumonia in 1938 at 5 months old. Don was preceded in death by parents Richard C. Also remembered by his close friend Jerry Murawski. Uncle to Richard (Jenny) Olson, Thomas (Nancy) Olson and Cathy (John) Cerny, Jay (Tess) Schwabe and Georgeann (John) Drehfal. Father of Keith Olson and Christine Henzig. He was preceded in death by Iline (nee Schwabe), his loving wife of 55 years. 1, 2022 Don joined the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the age of 87.
